Barbara A. Plovie, A.R.N.P.

Ms. Barbara Plovie considers herself a native of the Pacific Northwest having graduated from the University of Washington School of Nursing with both her BSN and MN degrees. Barb celebrated her 30th year as a Woman’s Health Care nurse practitioner in 2011. Her nursing career spans 40 years with all of that time devoted to woman’s health. In addition to her clinical practice, Ms. Plovie is also on the faculty of the University of Washington teaching graduate and undergraduate students. 

 

Ms. Plovie’s background and expertise include normal and high risk pregnancy, adolescent woman’s health, and woman’s life transition in menopause. Ms. Plovie is a breast cancer survivor and participates in the Susan G. Komen Foundation annual 5K run with her husband and two daughters. Ms. Plovie practices a holistic approach to woman’s health across the lifespan.  Her greatest pleasure is the close professional relationships she develops over time with her patients.
